My first time down the shore.

After a long journey in my ma's Miss Bene Fit, I arrived at a house I had never visited before. There were new smells - some similar to the sand and ocean ones I got used to on Marco Island, Florida.  But the journey wasn't long enough to take me to Florida - plus I wasn't in that condo - I was in a different house.
I soon overheard ma speaking about the shore and I knew instinctively I was at my Nonni's house, and I began to relax.

What is really cool about Nonna & Nonno's shorehouse is that they have these incredible doors that I can see and breath through but cannot walk through.
I stared out for a long time, and watched cars and humans go by.
 Pretty neat, huh?
I got to rest on a very comfy bed once I got tired of watching traffic and smelling all that crisp clean air.

My ma considered walking me to the beach, but I would not cooperate with a leash and she feared I would not like the sand between my paws anyhow. She shared this photo with me so I could see what it looked like.  Pretty.

I do love my life. 💖

Sunshine

It was extremely sunny outside today.
I still cannot go on the balcony.  My ma won't let me.

She was nice enough to put a chair in front of the screen window so Stivali and I can look out with ease and smell all the outdoor smells.
Stivali and I took turns sitting in the chair.

Today was a good day.

Chirp trill chirp trill

It is true, I am a Maine Coon. Maine Coon's tend to chirp rather than "meow", why is that?
Did you ever consider or wonder why?

My sister and I rarely meow at one another, we clean each other but don't really speak to one another. Sometimes she will hiss at me, especially when I return from the doctor's office, she yells at me to tell me that I smell weird.

We both talk to our mamma, and she talks back.  It is quite fun.  My sister meow meow meows, and I chirp and trill.   If you have never met a Maine Coon, you may not know what we sound like - we chirp and trill - trill is like a meow with a purr and chirp is like a bird.  My sister makes the funniest noise when she sees a bird, sounds like "ca ca ca" - my chirp is more like a bird's tweet. So don't confuse the "ca ca ca" of a domestic cat to the chirp chirp chirp of a Maine Coon.

Today, for Mother's Day, we will be sure to sing to our mamma - she likes hearing our adorable voices, and we like making her happy.

To all the mothers reading my post - Happy Mother's Day to you!  My sister and I hope you get all the singing you want - from cats or humans.  If you have a dog, be fair warned, they don't have as much vocal variety as us cats... so just another reason to add a cat to your family.

I am doing fine! And feeling great!

At the animal hospital with my doctor.
Thank you, Readers, for all of your prayers! They worked. My tests came back that I am doing well on all my medicines! I am so happy.

My doctor is beautiful, smart, very friendly, and she takes great care of me.

I am so happy to report that I can continue taking my medicines and living my life - - - may I continue to live this wonderful life for a long time to come.
