Cover Boy!

Remember in March when we announced I was a cover girl? Well, this month it is Pasqua's turn - check him out!

This is the Girl Scout calendar filled with local cat photos, the proceeds from the sale of the calendar benefitted a TNR program. We are so blessed to be part of this worthy cause.

I must admit, Pasqua makes a gorgeous Cover Boy for the month of September. Purr-fect month for him, since he was born on September 17, 2018.

Speaking of birthdays, it will be one week ago tomorrow that we celebrated our mamma's. She had a beautiful day, and we had a wonderful week celebrating her.

Joyce Meyer says that it is never too late for a new beginning in your life. I think that as we begin a new month, approach a new season, and celebrate birthdays, that is a good thought to meditate on.  Birthdays and nature remind us how life is ever changing and ever evolving. We can think of that change as a way to begin again, to have a new beginning, to seek out a new adventure in our life.

Since things right now seem chaotic and unstable, it is healthy to meditate, and be intentional in how we create our best life, to help not only our selves but our loved ones, and everyone in our community.

What will you intentionally do this fall to make it the best for you, those you love, and those people you may not know but can help support?

Happy September, Readers, may you be blessed and be a blessing.

Cover Girl

Happy March, Dear Readers!

We are very excited that we were selected to be part of a Girls' Scout Calendar. Behold March:

A Girl Scout was creating a calendar and sought photos of cats. The proceeds from the sale of the calendar would benefit a TNR program. Mamma submitted multiple photos of Pasqua and I, and to our pure delight, we were both selected to be part of the calendar.

How cool is that? And for a wonderful cause!

I make a beautiful cover girl, don't you agree?

We had a wonderful week here - very cold outside, which makes us overly concerned about our sweet Grigio. He refuses to allow us to approach him, and he won't come inside our warm home. Happily, he uses a heated pad on our deck - and just stares at us:

He is a very silly cat, and we hope one day he will realize the happy home inside. There are lots of things to play with, and lots of places to hide, too. Maybe one day. We remain hopeful.

May your March be filled with sunshine and happiness.

Purr & Paw,

Resolutions

Twelve days in to the new year, and we aren't about declaring a 2019 resolution, as we were taught a long time ago you can begin a new resolution each day. A new year just reminds us that each day is new and you can start over fresh. Peace in the present. Sadness in the past. Anxiety if only thinking about the future.
Each day, I resolve, I will be nicer to Pasqua.
Mamma bought "Safe Space" essence by Jackson Galaxy. Twelve days in of use, and I am not feeling yet that my space is indeed "safe".
I am unpredictable. Moody.
Some days, I can sit in the same area with Pasqua, and our world is fine. Other days, he wants to play, and I don't want any part of it so I hiss and growl, and chase. Pasqua thinks the chasing is play. Sometimes, I let it become that, other days, I just get irritated.
I am unpredictable. Moody.
I want to be nice to Pasqua, but sometimes, it is hard to share my home and my mom.
Sharing space.
Eating together.
Sharing a chair.
Unsure of a new world.
I don't want to always be nice. Sorry.
Humans can learn a lot from animals. How the world is just the world. To be present. Look out a window and see it.
Resolve to stay happy. Each time you tear a day off a calendar, you get a new day. Tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365-page book. 😺

-Stivali.
