Prayer Request.

As previously reported one month ago today, I need to go back to the doctor. 

The idea of urinalysis freaks me out.
I think it freaks out my mamma too.
Saturday, 8am EST, everyone, PRAY.

I am scared.
A lot of people say it is a pretty routine test, but that doesn’t lessen my fear.

Somehow, I need to not pee when I wake up in the morning, and go to the animal hospital with a full bladder.  Hmmm… if I empty my bladder prior to arriving at the animal hospital, I will have to sit there and wait. And wait and wait. Until I have to pee. 

Hmmm…

I am sad just thinking about it.

Hopefully, the results will assess that my kidneys are healthy. That the medicines I have been taking for over a year have not negatively impacted them or any other organ in my body…

The concert of purr...

There is a sweet melody in the morning hours before ma rises for her work day - she wakes, yet, stays in bed with Stivali and I.
The sweet melody is the harmony of a purr duet which makes ma happy.

I do not think there is any better time to get pets than in the morning.  We three are so happy in the morning before true wake-up.  My ma will hit the snooze button on her alarm clock one too many times, but totally worth it for all of us to get in those extra snuggles - and of course, purrs.

Like a lullaby, we sometimes help our mother fall back asleep with our chorus of purrs - - - sometimes this happens after she shuts her alarm clock off completely.  And although we are content, sometimes this makes her not-so-content.

Our ma says she loves us but then she does this...

My ma tells us all of the time how much she loves me and my sister.

She gives us kisses and hugs, treats and our favorite foods, she provides lotsa toys and lotsa places for us to cozy up and sleep - she is really good to us.

Ma's favorite holiday is Easter. She says it is the most important holiday.  She also likes that for some reason it is traditional to decorate with bunnies. She said that bunnies represent fertility and that the goddess of spring used bunnies as her mascot, so, the bunny mascot evolved into the mascot for the spring holiday of Easter. Or something like that.

Anyhow, I am rambling. What was my point?

Easter is my ma's favorite holiday.
She adores bunnies and cats.

I am not amused, but I love my ma,
so what else can I do? 

I think I look pretty cute.

Ma, I am so not amused by this.

Has anyone else noticed how ugly the faces on bunny costumes used for the children's photo opportunities (at the mall and the like) are?  Why is that when real bunnies are adorable? 

My Birthday Month is Here!

I am so happy that I have made it to another celebration of ME. 😹

Ma tells the story like this - I was hanging around her bakery/pizzeria & espresso bar in April 2007.  I was cold and seeking shelter.  It was a very snowy spring that year in Searsport, Maine. 

How I looked when I met my mamma for the very first time.

She finally broke down and let me in, and called a vet on April 24, 2007 - about a week later I had my first doctor appointment. The doctor guessed I was about 8 - 12 months old based upon my weight.

I dunknow why, but at first, she did not find me too cute. :(

My birth was sometime in 2006 but my "found forever home" date is April 2007.  Making April un-officially, my birthday month.

Living my life fully, and loving my life.  Thankful for each day I wake up in, because I fear, and am aware, they are numbered.  Seeking shelter during a stormy cold spring ten years ago, brought me to a cute little bakery, and an even cuter woman to take care of me.  I know I am blessed and I won't take any day for granted.
